DIY Christmas Decorations

Can you believe that Christmas Eve is in two weeks? I love the pre-holiday period, but it always goes by way too quickly! To get into the holiday spirit, I recently turned on some Christmas hits on YouTube and made some Christmas decorations for my apartment. What fun I had! And since the ideas for Christmas decorations are really easy to make, I decided to share them on the blog.

I had a lot of ideas for Christmas decorations, but in the end I only made three of them (and that’s a lot for a 50-meter apartment). So that you can also add a bit of Christmas atmosphere to your apartments, I’m posting them here. Maybe they will inspire Wad to make her own Christmas decorations?

Christmas decorations: an openwork Christmas tree to put on the windowsill Diy christmas

This is definitely my favorite project. Interestingly, the idea for who is responsible for ensuring that decisions are made with the involvement of stakeholders?  this decoration came to me in my notebook during some not-so-interesting meeting in the corporation (so it was useful after all

To make this decoration (I used two Christmas trees) we need:

five meter long strips
hacksaw (it might be worth asking – maybe generative ai and hyper-personalization  someone at the hardware store can cut them for you)
Christmas tree lights (I used 100 lights) converted into a Christmas garland of mini lanterns (I used about 30 balls) – you can find a description of how to make such a garland below
IMPORTANT – it is best if it is a twisted string of lights
nails (it is important that they are able to nail your strips, but at the same time not too thick because they will burst the stick)
hammer

How to make Christmas trees for windows:

we shorten two strips slightly (in my case calling list  by about 20 cm each)
using a hammer and nails we make two Christmas trees – one smaller, the other slightly larger
we prepare Christmas lights as described at the end of the text)
We place our Christmas trees in the place where we want them to stand (e.g. on the windowsill).
we connect the lights to the power supply
we start wrapping the lights around the tree. (i started at the top of the taller tree, then dragged the lights to the top of the second tree and started wrapping it down again.

Christmas decorations: Christmas tree on OSB board Diy christmas

You’re sorry you didn’t see the look on the salesperson’s face in the DIY store when I approached him and asked about OCB boards. Of course, I meant OSB boards, but the name buzzed somewhere between my right ear and my left curl, and as a result, OCB boards were created. All that was missing was for the salesperson to ask, “But What’s Running?”
