Ukraine’s goals for COP 29 : A plan for peace and victory

The agreement at COP28 was far from sufficient to meet the climate challenge. At COP29! it will be important to prevent a Ukraine’s goals  retreat from commitments already made! and it will be difficult to make progress on new measures.

Parties should let the money speak for itself and agree on a robust

Comprehensive and sufficient NCQG on climate finance. They should also avoid the usual COP distractions! such as announcing new initiatives under the “Action Under the Chair” – and focus on what matters most: how to transition Ukraine’s goals  away from fossil fuels quickly! effectively and fairly.

Particular attention should be paid to the structures! goals! and requirements phone number list of the Paris Agreement. This is what will best serve the needs of a warming and increasingly conflict-ridden world.

In the years after the start of the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation! our delegation actively participated in the work of the Conference! and the main narrative of our representation was the climatic damage to Ukraine and the world caused by the actions of the aggressor.

Currently! the relevant ministry has identified the main areas of work for our delegation:

Promotion of the peace formula of the President of Ukraine! in particular point 8.

Presentation of the progress of Ukraine’s climate policy

Presentation of the results of modeling Ukraine’s low-carbon strategy until 2050
Signing a memorandum on the green recovery of Ukraine (for representatives of in addition! it is important to keep Ukrainian business! communities! establishing cooperation with international civil society organizations)
Advocating national interests in the negotiation process on the NCQG (new financial target); Article 6 mechanisms and approaches; (3) in the mitigation program; (4) adaptation; and (5) reporting
Against the backdrop of continuous geopolitical turbulence! special attention should be paid to how such a asb directory significant platform as the COP can be used to implement an ambitious and socially approved Plan. The President of Ukraine noted in his speech in the Verkhovna Rada that such resources as uranium! titanium! lithium! graphite and other strategically valuable resources worth trillions of dollars should become a tool for strengthening Ukraine! its allies and the democratic world in global competition.
